In partnership with Polygone étoilé and its Ligne d'Erre residencies, the Jocelyne Saab Association offers training-and-creation residencies for filmmakers wishing to work with 8mm, Super 8 or 16mm archives.
These residencies begin with a workshop on the mechanical restoration and digitisation of film, followed by a period dedicated to reviewing the footage, writing, and meetings to support the film's development. The digitised images and the reflective work carried out by the filmmaker on these archives are presented at the end of the residency during a partner festival.
The Jocelyne Saab Association's collaborations with artists and filmmakers are, moreover, an extension of Miraat's ambitions.
