213 rue Blomet by Jean-Paul Ngassa is a graduation film from IDHEC, completed in 1961.

A young man of Martiniquais origin goes to 213 rue Blomet in the 15th arrondissement of Paris with his girlfriend. He asks her to wait outside the building. He goes in and rings the door of a couple who rent rooms to students. However, the husband, suspicious of his skin colour, refuses to give him the remaining available room.

When his girlfriend learns about his setback, she decides to go up herself and manages to obtain the room. In the evening, the husband enters the room in an attempt to seduce the young woman. In the bed, he finds the student. They fight until his wife intervenes. The husband then allows him to stay in the accommodation.
