Jocelyne Saab Association

Who are we?

The Jocelyne Saab Association is a non-profit organization created in 2019 in Marseille, France.

Our activities include the restoration of film archives originating from or relating to Arab countries; training in film preservation and restoration; the transmission of knowledge and techniques related to film and analog practices (16 or 35mm table editing; 16 or 35mm film projection), as well as support for contemporary creation based on archives.

Activities related to the organization of workshops and digitalization and restoration services are now carried out by the Maraya laboratory, based in Beirut, which continues the association’s technical activities launched in 2019.

The Jocelyne Saab Association is a co-founder of the Archive Circulation Initiative.

The Jocelyne Saab Association holds the rights to most of Jocelyne Saab’s films (see “Works”) as well as her visual art and writing.
