The private collection of the Atelier du 7e art (Dornecy, France) is dedicated to preserving and safeguarding a little-regarded amateur heritage, which nonetheless sometimes offers rare images - for example, this dazzling film shot in Algeria by a French conscript during the war of independence.

These sound films, shot in double Super 8 and Kodachrome film, like Yemen, are precious documents shot in the 1970s off the beaten track, where child labor, for example, is visible.
