The Jocelyne Saab Association is an association under the law of 1901 created in 2019 in Marseille (France). It was built to mirror the association Cultural Resistance, created by Jocelyne Saab in 2014 and whose activities resumed in 2025, carried on by the volunteer team of the Association Jocelyne Saab.
Our activities concern the restoration of film archives originating from or dealing with Arab countries; in film preservation and restoration; the transmission of knowledge and techniques linked to silver and analog practices (16mm or 35mm tabletop editing; 16mm or 35mm film projection), as well as support for contemporary creation based on archives.
The Cultural Resistance association continues the work begun by JSA in organizing training and creative workshops in Arab countries.
The Jocelyne Saab Association holds the rights to the majority of Jocelyne Saab’s films (see “Works”), as well as to her plastic arts and writing.
