With a filmography of 47 film works (reportage, documentary films, fiction films and video art), a plastic art work counting 4 major exhibitions, several cultural projects designed on the scale of Lebanon and an image book published just before her death in 2018, Jocelyne Saab's work covers fifty years of Middle Eastern history and its complex relations with the West. Engaged with fervor for social justice and tolerance among peoples, Jocelyne Saab filmed the major struggles of the last quarter of the 20th century and worked the rest of her life on resistance against forgetting and the struggle for emancipation. A major work that also unfolds through her paper archives, which reveal both the making of her work and her dreams of projects that remained unrealized.
